Threads is getting two new features. Know details.News

Threads App Introduces Functionality to Streamline Following People

Meta is continuously adding new features to its microblogging platform Threads in order to compete with X (formerly Twitter) and potentially gain an advantage. Recent reports suggest that Threads is planning to introduce a Trending section, displaying the top 5 trending topics and the number of threads mentioning them. Additionally, the platform has announced that users will soon be able to delete the app without losing their Instagram account.

Now Threads has got another new feature. Know all about it.

Chains update

Instagram head Adam Mosseri posted yesterday on Threads about the new feature. With this addition, users can now follow any person mentioned in a Threads post. A long press on a message opens a new menu, where the Threads accounts of all the people mentioned in the message are opened, as well as the possibility to follow them. You can follow them by tapping the “Follow All” option. Note that this feature is only available on the mobile version of Threads.

Mosseri posted: “On mobile, you can now long press on a message to follow all the people mentioned.”

For those who also use the online version of Threads, there is a new feature. Instead of having to save media and attachments to their device and then create a new message, users can now simply copy and paste them. “On the web, you can copy and paste media attachments to make posting easier,” Mosseri added.

Below the post, users comment on how this feature could be useful to them. “It makes a list of follower type posts 10x easier. I do a lot so I really appreciate this. Both as a creator and a follower of lots of great peeps,” one user wrote.

Another user thanked Mosser for Threads’ online feature and wrote: “Thanks for attaching the image. It was a pain to save to a file online first.”

Although the number of users to follow is not limited by selecting the “Follow All” option, users mention in the comments that the number is limited to 7500. However, the official limit has not yet been announced.
